A Letter to Say Thanks

Dear Mr. Bread Man (aka Nick),

Thank you for all the mid-walk snacks and a doggy bag full of your deliciously home made bread for when I return home. I don't blame my humans when they sneak a bite or two from the freshly made loaf of bread because I would do the same if I were them!
Normally, I am only fed a few slices as a treat while the rest of it is saved for the next day. They believe that if I eat too much bread in one day I might have a tummy ache. I think it's an excuse to trick me into eating my dinner.

With many happy dances,
Bailey

A Mountain Dog's Dream

It was snowing quite heavily the day we chose to head up to the mountain for some fun. Being conditioned for that kind of weather, we didn't mind at all. Instead, it was bit of a relief from the rain.
It was so chilly out that icicles were forming on Bailey's whiskers! On top of that, we slathered on an invisible boot balm on her pads to protect them from the frigid weather. The balm did in fact help shield her pads, but it didn't help prevent formation of snowballs between her toes. Does anyone have advice on how to prevent that from happening?
Naturally, Bailey's instincts kicked in at the first scent of snow. Once off leash she is like a Tasmanian devil, darting all over the trail and passing everyone who was too slow. At one point when she couldn't stop herself from running at full speed she ran into a man, stepped on his skis and almost tripped him. She seemed to learn from her mistake as she would pull over to the side of the trail and let people pass.
"I dare you to jump..."

The Case of the Kibble Scatterer

"It wasn't me. I'm not the one who's been spitting out the old food to eat the new food. Rather the old food 'slipped' out of my mouth and onto the floor..."

The Working Dog

During cooler days when I am covered in layers of clothes and unable to carry Bailey's essentials, I take out the doggie backpack. Even though Bailey only has a few essentials, the backpack comes in handy as I trust her with a few of my personal belongings such as a scarf or gloves.
Once Bailey is done fussing about refusing to put on the backpack, she prances on the sidewalk with her head held high and a big smile on her face as if to show everyone how pleased she is in helping the human carry the cargo.

Cheers to 6 Years!

Happy birthday to all my beautiful and wonderful brothers and sisters! It seems like it was just yesterday that all thirteen of us were pups and playing in a pen! Wishing all my siblings another healthy and extraordinary year!
Hope your special day was filled with lots of laughter and surrounded by loved ones!

Holiday Festives

"Merry Christmas!!! I know this is a very late post, but opening all these presents took a lot of recovery time."
"In my defence, the present has my name on it. Therefore I should be allowed to open it, even if guests have not arrived yet!"

"Excuse me, it looks like you need a helping paw opening that present. I wouldn't want you to get a paper cut, so allow me to do all the paper wrapping ripping."

In the Christmas Mood

Have you put up your Christmas tree yet?
We did! We were extra excited about Christmas this year and decided to decorate the house right on December 1st! Bailey was so excited that she pranced around the house wearing Christmas attire!
