New Friends

Kristi and Justin came over to visit Bailey for the first time. They were so excited to see her when they arrived. And Bailey absolutely loved Justin! Her tail kept wagging the whole time! We don't receive that tail wagging from her. Oh well, at least Bailey found a new friend to play with! Maybe Kristi and Justin will puppy sit for us when we're away on vacation. Hopefully they come visit Bailey again soon!

Super Puppy!

Secretly Bailey is a super hero! We found her wearing her cape also known as her puppy blanket. Maybe we should put a 'B' on her cape...

Sunny Day

The weather has been so nice the past few days that Bailey enjoys to sit on my balcony and smell the fresh air.

Bailey becomes very hyper in the afternoons and on such a nice day we love to play with her outside. She'll chase us around the yard and when she's tired out (or when she looses interest in us), she lays down and munches on grass.

Near bedtime, Bailey hops onto her doggy bed and sleeps while we sit on the couch watching tv. Her bed is in the living room near the couch so we can see her, near enough for me to take lots of pictures of her. But when she irritated by the flashes from the camera, she gets up and walks into her pen and sleeps on her second bed, all the while making deep low noises to tell us to leave her alone.

Bailey's Trip Out and New Things

Yesterday, Bailey visited my godparents and their 13 year old Keeshond mix dog (also known as my best buddy!), Bandit. Unfortunately, Bandit was bit by a small dog awhile ago and now she's scared of tiny dogs. As Bailey was carried into the house Bandit was nowhere to be found! When we found Bandit in the kitchen, she ran toward the living room without looking at Bailey. Trying to avoid Bailey did not work so well for Bandit as she was chased after by our puppy. Bailey was so happy to see another dog that she followed Bandit everywhere!

Today, Bailey receives another new toy! We've found that she loves toys that makes noises, so we went out and got her a squeaky ball. Now as Bailey bites down on this toy she'll hear a squeak! We also thought that berners weren't a retrieving dog, but when we threw the new toy Bailey would run and pick it up and come back! She's a different kind of berner! After a new day of playing with new toys, Bailey flops down on her new doggy bed and takes a nap.

The Famous Head Tilt

Hi again! Here's another video of Bailey and you're going to love this one!
Hi all,
Just wanted to share one of my favourite photos of our girl :)

Old Memories

I was just taking a look at pictures of Bailey when she was younger and I came across this cute video that I took of her. In this video, 5 week old Bailey is bitting Jed's tail (used to be known as Emerson). Poor Jed, he just wants to be picked up, but instead he's being picked on by his sister!

Just Chillin'

Bailey with her new friend as well as puppy sitter, Chris! Bailey becomes very mischievous and breaks all the rules when Chris comes over, but when she calms down she likes to chill with Chris on the couch. Don't they just look adorable together? We think that Bailey likes Chris more than she does us! What's he got that we don't have?

After a long day of play with Kathy, Rebecca and I, Bailey loves to sit and relax with mom. Bailey likes the way mom treats her like a human baby, the way Kathy gives her so much attention and the kisses she receives from Rebecca. As from me, Bailey loves to take long naps in my room and chill on my balcony.

Busy Schedule

For the past few days, Bailey has been visited by many friends and family. She's one popular puppy! She's even starting to act less timid with newcomers as well as become more curious to new things. We've recently bought her a squeaky toy and we were scared that Bailey would not react well with a new toy that could make sounds, I slowly encouraged her to play with it. Finally warming up to her toy, Bailey playfully growls at it and soon pounces and tugs on her new favourite toy. We were so proud of her for not running away from the odd sounds her toy made! Just yesterday, Kathy placed Bailey in a box to find her wagging her tail and playing inside the box. But as a young puppy, Bailey soon looses interest in the box and unable to get out I come to her rescue!

Being a very busy puppy, she needs her beauty sleep. After a day's work of entertaining visitors, Bailey will sleep anywhere, even in any one's arms. She'll make deep grunts to tell you when you have interrupted her, but will fall asleep instantly afterwards. Around the house, Bailey absolutely loves to take a nap on the rug in the reading area with one paw wrapped around one of her toys or by the screen door looking outside. What a hectic day a puppy can have!

Health Check

Today was Bailey's first visit to her veterinarian. Unable to walk long distances, I had to pick Bailey up after a couple of steps (whenever she saw grass she would stop walking and plop down and play with the grass) and carry her to the veterinary hospital. Arriving at the hospital, she received many compliments from the staff and other dog owners. Before visiting the vet, Bailey had time to sniff her new environment and get weighed. Guess how much she weighs! 15.6 lbs! She's gained a little more than three pounds since last weekend (no wonder my arms starting to get tired from carrying her!)! Bailey's slowly becoming a big and beautiful berner! Too bad she can't stay a puppy forever.

During her quick check up, Bailey decides to take a nap, sprawled on the floor while I ask the veterinarian questions. Her attitude with the vet was very relaxed and was not afraid of Dr. Miller at all! And best of all, Bailey is very healthy! She's now taking some deworming pills to help prevent her from getting worms! The only thing that Bailey was uncomfortable with was the examining table. Unlike any table she's seen this one is shiny and cold (and does not taste as good as the tables at home!). Arriving home shortly after her appointment, Bailey takes a long nap on her large cushion, (soon she'll grow to be bigger than the cushion and I'll have to go buy her a new one!) soon forgetting her visit to the vets and dreams of chasing cats and hopefully not cars!

Bailey's Transformation

Bailey at one week old. So tiny, but soon she'll grow to be a beautiful berner!

At week 2, Bailey and her siblings start to open their eyes...

Week 3 and already posing for the camera!

Week 4

Each visit to the breeders we can see how much she's grown from the week before!

At week 6, Bailey discovers the teething stage. Soon she'll come home with us and attack our fingers and toes.
